May 26: My First Rut

Ugh. I have hit a rut and am pretty darn unmotivated. It's been a great week, and I was sticking to the schedule like clockwork. Then I came back from my business trip and had so much catching up to do with both work and my personal life, I just haven't done anything with the way of training, and I'm feeling bad about that.

I was supposed to go running on Thursday (schedule said to run 2-3 miles), but that is my golf league night. I always carry my bag, and that equates to walking two miles, but it just isn't the same as running. I did play well Thursday, breaking 40 for the first time in a while. (I had 8 pars and 1 triple bogey...)

Friday, I was beat after staying up past 1:30 am working on a freelance project. So now it's Saturday,5:15pm. I'm catching up on housework, enjoying the cherished family time, and thinking to myself -- sheesh, I really need to go running. Yet it's raining out as if it were Seattle.

I'm sure once I just get my butt out there and run, I'll feel better and get that motivation back.

If you are reading this, please get on my case and leave me a comment. I love getting feedback and this is one of the days I could really use it!!!

Thanks!
